Riya of Bihar in Indian kabaddi camp

Patna: The Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) has taken a significant step in preparation for the 2026 Asian Games by organising a specialised coaching camp for senior men’s and women’s players. The camp will be held in Bellary, Karnataka, from March 27 to April 2.Two players from Bihar — Sagar Kumar and Riya Kumari — have been selected to attend the camp.
Sharing this information, Bihar State Kabaddi Association Chairman Kumar Vijay Singh said, citing an official communication from the federation, that the camp will be conducted by Mashal Sports at the Inspire Institute of Sport in Bellary.
He added that both players were selected based on their performances in national competitions and their consistent track record.

Singh further informed that the Asian Games are scheduled to commence on September 19 this year in Japan.
Congratulating the players on their achievement, several officials and members of the Bihar kabaddi fraternity extended their best wishes, including advisor to the Bihar Chief Minister Anjani Kumar Singh, Association Chairman Kumar Vijay Singh, President Apoorv Sukant, Secretary Vipul Kumar Singh, AKFI Treasurer Ramakant Singh, CEO Awadhesh Kumar Singh, Vice-Presidents Saroj Kumar and Kumar Anand, along with other office-bearers and members.
