Patna: Bihar Chief Minister (CM) Nitish Kumar on Saturday conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction work of the Mithapur-Mahuli four-lane elevated road. As part of the inspection, the Chief Minister visited the construction sites at Mithapur Flyover Golambar and Parsa Bazar.
He stated that once the elevated road is completed, it will significantly ease the movement of commuters. It will help people avoid traffic congestion around the New Bypass and nearby areas, thereby saving both time and fuel.
Following this, the Chief Minister also inspected the under-construction Zero Mile–Masaurhi (SH-1) road. Expressing dissatisfaction over the slow pace of the work, he instructed officials to take prompt action. He stressed that the construction of the Zero Mile–Masaurhi road must be expedited so that the public can benefit from it at the earliest.
The Chief Minister further reviewed the Patliputra Bus Terminal and instructed officials to ensure proper passenger amenities and facilities at the terminal.
During the inspection, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Secretary Kumar Ravi, Patna Divisional Commissioner Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, Managing Director of Bihar State Road Development Corporation Ltd. Teershat Kapil Ashok, Managing Director of Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (BUIDCo) Animesh Parashar, District Magistrate Dr Tyagarajan SM, Senior Superintendent of Police Avkash Kumar, and several other senior officials were present.
