Patna: In a match of the Adhikari Madan Mohan Prasad Memorial Patna District Senior Division Cricket League, organised by the Patna District Cricket Association, Amar CC defeated Panchsheel CC by a narrow margin of nine runs in a thrilling contest.
The match was played at the local Alpha Sports Academy Ground. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Amar CC were bowled out for 141 runs in 31.3 overs. In reply, Panchsheel CC were dismissed for 132 runs in 29.1 overs, handing Amar CC a nine-run victory. Monu Kumar of the winning side was adjudged Player of the Match.
Amar CC’s Fighting Innings
Amar CC did not get off to a good start as they lost early wickets. However, Abhishek Kumar contributed 21 runs off 24 balls in the middle order, while Rishabh Bhardwaj added 13 runs.
In the closing overs, Monu Kumar played an aggressive knock of 35 runs off 23 balls, hitting four fours and two sixes. Patel Aman remained unbeaten on 28 runs, helping the side reach a respectable total of 141.
For Panchsheel CC, Priyanshu Kumar Prateek impressed with the ball, taking three wickets for 30 runs in 6.3 overs. Mohammad Sultan and Rajkumar Singh claimed two wickets each.
Impressive Bowling by Amar CC
Chasing a target of 142 runs, Panchsheel CC had a poor start and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. In the middle order, Bittu Kumar fought hard with a 50-run knock off 71 balls, while Anirudh Raj scored 30 runs off 46 deliveries. Despite their efforts, the team failed to reach the target and were bowled out for 132 runs.
Aryaman Singh bowled effectively for Amar CC, taking two wickets for 19 runs in seven overs. Prakash Yadav and Monu Kumar also picked up two wickets each, playing a key role in the victory.
Thrilling Finish
The match remained closely contested until the final stages, but Amar CC’s bowlers maintained pressure and prevented Panchsheel CC from reaching the target, sealing an important nine-run win.
