Patna: Slogans in favour of Nishant Kumar were raised in the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna, as a section of the crowd chanted “Nishant Kumar as Bihar’s CM” and “Long live Nishant Kumar”. The Chief Minister’s reaction drew attention, with several senior leaders present on the stage, including both Deputy Chief Ministers and ministers such as Sanjay Jha.
As the slogans echoed, Kumar was seen smiling, folding his hands in greeting and stepping down from the stage. Supporters simultaneously raised chants of “Long live Nitish Kumar”. The Chief Minister acknowledged the crowd with folded hands before moving ahead. He had arrived in Patna to inaugurate a guest house for visitors of the Legislative Council.
Along with the guest house, a canteen-cum-library building and a community centre were also inaugurated. The Chief Minister inspected the newly constructed Legislative Council guest residence and reviewed the facilities and arrangements provided. However, the media was kept outside during his visit.
The guest house had long been awaited after Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) were allotted duplex residences. The five-storey building comprises a basement, ground floor and four upper floors, with 30 suite rooms, four lounges and a security lounge. An eight-person capacity lift has been installed. Each suite includes a small kitchen, drawing room and a bedroom with attached facilities.

The canteen and library building is a two-storey structure, with one section housing the canteen and the other the library. The canteen features dining halls, a kitchen, rest rooms, pantry, storage and service areas across the ground and first floors. The library includes office space, reading areas, a lobby and storage facilities.
The community centre, also a two-storey building, comprises halls, storage rooms, a kitchen, lobby and washrooms on both floors.
Among those present at the event were Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Legislative Council Chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh, Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Road Construction Minister Dr Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar and Rural Works Minister Ashok Choudhary, along with senior officials.
