Patna: In the Adhikari Madan Mohan Prasad Memorial Patna Senior Division Cricket League, organised by the Patna District Cricket Association, PESU registered an impressive six-wicket win over City Student Club in a match played on Wednesday.
For PESU, Shasheem Rathore (70) and Pankaj Kumar (55) scored fine half-centuries, while Baljeet Singh Bihari (76) was the standout performer for City Student Club. Shashim Rathore, who contributed 70 runs and picked up two wickets, was adjudged Player of the Match.
Batting first after losing the toss at the local Urja Stadium, City Student Club were bowled out for 203 in 40 overs. Baljeet Singh Bihari led the scoring with a well-crafted 76, while Raj Aryan (24) and Aditya Prakash (18) chipped in with useful contributions.
Among the PESU bowlers, Rajesh Kumar Sinha was the most successful, claiming three wickets, while Shasheem Rathore and Abhijeet Saket picked up two wickets each.
PESU Chase Down Target in Just 27 Overs
Chasing a target of 204, PESU produced an aggressive batting display to reach the total in just 27 overs, losing four wickets in the process.
Shashim Rathore starred with a fluent 70, while Pankaj Kumar’s 55 played a crucial role in the chase. Babul Kumar also contributed a valuable 32.
