PATNA: Bihar Diwas will also be celebrated at the Central University of Karnataka at Kalaburagi, Bangalore this year.
The event which is scheduled to be held on March 23,2026, is to be marked by some live performances, visual art presentations, quiz and poetry sessions.
Planned on the University premises, the event will also showcase Mithila art and cuisines of Bihar.
Bihar Day is observed to mark the foundation day of Bihar and this year some students from Bihar at the Central University of Karnataka have decided to observe the occasion in Kalaburagi, Bangalore also.
Prof Pramod Kumar from the department of electronics and communication engineering, Central University of Karnataka, said that the event had been intended to introduce students from other states of the country to the life and culture in Bihar. “They will get to know the traditions and culture of the state,” he said.
Dr P Kumar Mangalam, assistant professor, department of foreign language, Central University of Karnataka, who is also the event coordinator, said it’s also an opportunity to promote cultural exchange among the students who have turned up from different states. People like Dr Jayadevi Jangamashetty from the department of music at the University, Ragini Rajbhar, and Pankaj Jha are working hard for the success of the event.
