Pratyay Amrit, chief secretary of Bihar government, giving away Best District Election Officer Award to Bahagalpur DM Nawal Kishor Choudhary

Bhagalpur: Under state level Best Electoral Practices Award -2025, the District Election Officer cum District Magistrate (DM), Bhagalpur, Nawal Kishor Choudhary has received best district election officer award.
DM received the award from Pratyay Amrit, chief secretary of Bihar government, at function held in Sinchai Bhawan, Patna today on occasion of 16th National Voters Day. Bhagalpur DM also received award on the occasion for foolproof timely accomplishment of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of district electoral roll.
The DM was nominated for the best election officer award taking into consideration his outstanding performance during state assembly election held in recent past. As per information Bhagalpur is only district of state that bagged two different category awards under state level Best Electoral Practices Award-2025.
District Election Officer cum District Magistrate (DM), Jamui, Sri Navin was also among recipients of award at award function. He had been nominated for Best Electoral Practices Award -2025 for successful conduct of fair election in district introducing innovative practices.
He was specifically nominated for information technology-based initiative, security and management, easy and inclusive approach, correction of electoral roll, voter awareness drive in district beside ensuring increase of democratic participation of people in election process.

The Best Electoral Practices Award it may be mentioned is given by election department of state government to ten best performing district magistrates in regards to their overall performance in conduct of election in their respective districts.
The district magistrates who received award under different categories of Best Electoral Practices Award -2025 today included Sawan Kumar, DM, Supaul, Tanai Sultania, DM, Bhojpur, Richie Pandey, DM, Sitamarhi, Kundan Kumar, DM, Nalanda, Subrat Kumar Sen, DM, Muzaffarpur, Shashank Subhankar, DM, Gaya, Anil Kumar former district magistrate of Araria presently posted as director in Information and Public Relation Department beside Manesh Kumar Meena former district magistrate of Katihar presently posted as director in Department of Mines. Citation and cash awards were given to the winners on the occasion.
