Patna: Bihar Women’s Under-15 team suffered a heavy 269-run defeat against Maharashtra in a Women’s Under-15 One-Day Trophy Elite match played on Saturday, 10 January 2026, at the KCA Cricket Ground, Mangalapuram, Thiruvananthapuram.
Batting first, Maharashtra posted a commanding 321 for 4 in the allotted 35 overs. In response, Bihar were bowled out for just 52 runs in 21.4 overs while chasing the daunting target.
For Maharashtra, Aradhya Amol Pawar produced a brisk knock of 89 off 56 balls, while Sanskriti Ghoratle scored 76 before retiring hurt. Wicketkeeper Advika Jadhav provided stability to the innings with an unbeaten 63.
Bihar bowling attack found limited success, with Ardhya Priyadarshini, Vaishnavi and Sweety Kumari picking up one wicket each. However, containing the run flow proved to be a major challenge.
Chasing the target, Bihar innings never gained momentum as early wickets put the side under constant pressure. Annu Singh Kushwaha top-scored with 15 runs, while Vaishnavi Singh remained unbeaten on one. The rest of the batting line-up failed to make a meaningful contribution.
Maharashtra’s bowlers dominated proceedings, with Shreya Jagdale claiming four wickets through disciplined line and length, while Krishna Sagare took two wickets to further dismantle the Bihar innings.
