Patna, May 18: Bihar Football Association secretary Syed Imtiaz Hussain announced that Satyendra Kumar, a former national referee and player, has passed the Referee Inspector Exam. This exam was part of the Referee Inspector Course organized by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, from February 17 to February 19.
Under the AIFF’s Vision 2047, the Football Referee Development Programme has been implemented across every state.
Hussain also mentioned that under this Referee Development Programme, several individuals from Bihar—Naveen Utpal, Deepak Kumar, Shashi Kumar Suman, Sunil Kumar, Arun Hansda, Shashi Mohan Singh, and Virendra Kumar—passed the examination to become Assessors of Basic Referees. They completed the Category 5 to 8 Referee C License AIFF Basic Referee Assessor Course, organized by the AIFF and Bihar Football Association.
Hussain highlighted that this is the first time a referee from Bihar, Satyendra Kumar, has passed the Inspector’s exam. On the occasion of Kumar’s appointment as a Referee Inspector and the six referees’ appointment as assessors, various officials extended their congratulations. Among them were Prasanjit Mehta, president of the Bihar Football Association, Ravindra Prasad Singh, Dr. Intezaar Ul Haq (former IPS), Pradeep Kumar, Khateeb Ahmed, vice president of the Bihar Football Association Rajendra Prasad Yadav, assistant secretary Manoj Kumar, Patna Football Association secretary Santosh Kumar, Asgar Hussain, Naushadul Hasan, K.K. Singh, Ravi Shankar Kumar, and Rakesh Prakash Singh.
