Patna: SPS CCC and School of Cricket secured victories in their respective matches on Monday, 16 December, in the ongoing Baidyanath Prasad Memorial Under-13 Cricket Tournament held at the Cricket Academy of Bihar (CAB) ground.
Match 1: SPS CCC vs Happy High School
SPS CCC triumphed over Happy High School by four wickets. After winning the toss, SPS CCC elected to field first. Happy High School managed 106 runs for nine wickets in 24 overs, with Prakash Kumar scoring 18 and Krishna Tiwari remaining unbeaten on 17. Animesh delivered an impressive bowling performance, taking 3/19, while Vaibhav supported with 2/3.
In reply, SPS CCC chased down the target in just 13.1 overs, scoring 109 for six wickets. Alok starred with a blistering unbeaten 59 off 48 balls, including eight fours and three sixes. Animesh’s all-round contribution earned him the Player of the Match award.
Match 2: School of Cricket vs Cricket Academy of Bihar Red
In a nail-biting finish, School of Cricket edged past Cricket Academy of Bihar Red by two runs. Batting first, School of Cricket posted 151 for one wicket in 22 overs, with Abhinav Sinha leading the charge with 69 runs.
Chasing 152, Cricket Academy of Bihar Red came agonisingly close, but were bowled out for 149 in 22 overs. Aryan Raj’s valiant 56 went in vain as Ashish Kumar’s 3/34 and Abhinav Sinha’s crucial bowling sealed the victory. Abhinav was named Player of the Match for his outstanding all-round performance.
