School of Cricket and CMS Academy Dominate Under-14 Cricket Tournament

Patna: The School of Cricket and CMS Academy emerged victorious in their respective matches on Friday during the Chandramani Prasad Singh Memorial Under-14 Cricket Tournament at the Bihar Cricket Academy Ground.

In the first match, the School of Cricket defeated CMS Academy by 70 runs. After winning the toss, the School of Cricket chose to bat and set a target of 212 runs in 21 overs, losing all their wickets. Syed Talha Ahmed was the standout performer with a brilliant 94 runs, supported by Raunak Kumar, who added 46 runs. Krishna from CMS Academy claimed two wickets.

Chasing the target, CMS Academy were bowled out for 142 runs in 22.2 overs. Tapish contributed 32 runs, but the School of Cricket’s bowlers, Raunak (3 wickets for 14 runs) and Ayush Kumar (3 wickets for 26 runs), proved too strong. Syed Talha Ahmed was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.

In the second match, CMS Academy secured a 3-wicket win against Cambridge Cricket Academy. Cambridge batted first after winning the toss and scored 123 runs for 9 wickets in 25 overs. Raja led the scoring with 38 runs, while Ajeet Raj and Pushkar contributed 30 and 19 runs, respectively. Krishna and Sagar from CMS took two wickets each.

CMS Academy chased down the target in 21.1 overs, scoring 124 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Krishna was the hero of the innings with a remarkable 67 runs, while Sagar and Dharamveer added 13 runs each. Nihal from Cambridge impressed with the ball, taking 4 wickets for 16 runs.

Former cricketer Vijay Bharti presented the Player of the Match award to Krishna for his match-winning knock.
