Patna: The Chandramani Prasad Singh Memorial Under-14 Cricket Tournament started on a high note on Monday, 9 December, at the Bihar Cricket Academy, located at La Martiniere World School, Sampatchak. The inauguration ceremony featured esteemed guests, including La Martiniere World School Principal Shiv Prakash, Patna District Cricket Association Secretary Rajesh Singh, Patna District Cricket League Organising Committee Chairman Dhananjay Singh, former Ranji Trophy player Kumar Mridul, Ranji player Rishabh Raj, and Suday Kumar. The dignitaries marked the occasion by releasing balloons and meeting the participating players.
Rupak Kumar, the tournament’s Technical Head, welcomed everyone, and Academy coach Ashutosh Kumar Jyoti expressed gratitude to the organisers and attendees.
SCA XI Claim Victory in the Opening Match
The first match saw SCA XI clinch a 6-wicket win over SKY Playing XI. After electing to field, SCA XI restricted SKY Playing XI to 152 for 6 in 20 overs. In response, SCA XI achieved the target with ease, scoring 157 for 4 in just 14.5 overs.
Mani Kumar of SCA XI delivered a standout performance and was named Player of the Match, receiving the award from former Ranji player Kumar Mridul.
