Patna: Bihar suffered a 41-run defeat against Chhattisgarh in the U-19 Women’s T20 match held at Chennai’s SSN Ground. Bihar won the toss and opted to field first. Chhattisgarh posted a total of 109 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Notable contributors for Chhattisgarh included Akanksha Rani (21 runs), Siddhikasha Tiwari (14 runs), Sheikh Najia (24 runs), and Radhika Nettle (13 runs). Captain Mehak remained unbeaten with 24 runs, while Kalpana added 6 runs. For Bihar, Sagarika took two wickets, with Julie and Khushi Gupta picking up one wicket each.
In response, Bihar were bowled out for 68 runs in 20 overs. Khushboo Kumari (10 runs), Khushi Gupta (15 runs), and Sagarika (10 runs) were the only players to reach double figures. Mansi Upadhyay of Chhattisgarh claimed three wickets, while Chandni and Mehak took one wicket each. Additionally, four Bihar players were run out.
Bihar’s next match is scheduled against Karnataka on 2nd October.
