Dr Parmeshwar Dayal Memorial Under-13 Inter-School Cricket Tournament Set to Begin on September 23

Patna: In honour of the late Dr Parmeshwar Dayal, former Vice-Chancellor of Magadh University and a distinguished geographer, the Dr Parmeshwar Dayal Memorial Under-13 Inter-School Cricket Tournament will kick off on 23rd September at the Cricket Academy of Bihar (CAB) ground, located at Moinul Haq Stadium. This was confirmed by Amikar Dayal, Director of the Cricket Academy of Bihar and former captain of India’s youth cricket team.

According to Dayal, school, academy, and institutional teams will compete in the knockout-format tournament, which will feature only 24 teams. Matches will be officiated by a panel of umpires, and the organising committee will ensure refreshments and cold drinks are available. The matches will be 25 overs per side, with two games scheduled each day.

To ensure the smooth running of the event, Santosh Tiwari has been appointed as the organising secretary. Alongside the coveted trophy, individual prizes will be awarded to both the champions and runners-up. Daily ‘Man of the Match’ awards will be presented, as well as additional honours such as Player of the Tournament, Best Batsman, Best Bowler, and Best Fielder. Promising players will also be recognised.
