Patna: The Bihar junior men’s hockey team triumphed over Telangana with a 3-1 victory, thanks to a hat-trick by Shanu Lama, in the 14th Hockey India Junior National Men’s Hockey Championship 2024, being held in Jalandhar. Telangana took the lead in the 25th minute of the second quarter, holding a 1-0 advantage until half-time. However, Hockey Bihar made a strong comeback in the second half, with Shanu Lama scoring three consecutive goals in the 43rd, 47th, and 57th minutes, securing a 3-1 win for Bihar.
Shanu Lama was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
