Patna: Bihar players performed brilliantly in the Kyorugi event of the 7th National Cadet Kyorugi and Poomsae Taekwondo Championship held at the Port Trust Diamond Jubilee Indoor Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Bihar have bagged one gold and three bronze medals in this championship.
According to Samta Rahi, Joint Secretary of the Bihar Taekwondo Association, Himanshu Kumar won the gold medal in the under-57 kg weight category. Rohit Saini secured a bronze medal in the under-45 kg weight category, Shantanu Patel in the under-61 kg category, and Ananya Kumari brought laurels to Bihar by winning a bronze medal in the under-59 kg category for girls.
Congratulating the medal-winning players, their trainer, and manager, Samta Rahi expressed optimism for more medals in the future. Bihar Taekwondo Association President Shashibala Badani, General Secretary Rajesh Kumar Sahu, Vice President Birendra Kumar, Arun Kumar, Joint Secretary Nandu Kumar, Treasurer Manish Chandra Roy, Executive Members Dharmendra Kumar, Kamal Patel, Suman Prakash Ranjan, and BTA Coach Vishwajeet Kumar have all congratulated the team on their victory.
