Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Monday paid floral tribute to former Gujarat Governor and former Bihar minister Kailashpati Mishra on his birth anniversary at his life-size statue on the ICAR campus in Patna.
Paying homage to the veteran thinker and politician, the Chief Minister said Mishra had dedicated his entire life to nation-building and serving society and the organisation.
In recognition of his contributions, ideas and invaluable role in public life, Mishra’s birth anniversary will be observed as a state function from next year, Choudhary said.
He said the decision was a symbol of Bihar’s tribute and gratitude to the great son of the state.

BJP state general secretary Bhikhubhai Dalsania, MLAs Sanjeev Chaurasia, Sanjay Kumar and Manoj Kumar, MLC Sanjay Mayukh, former MLA Dilmani Devi and several other dignitaries also paid floral tributes at Mishra’s statue.
A devotional bhajan-kirtan programme was also organised on the occasion.
