Patna: Delhi Public School Patna East held its Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27 on Thursday, formally inducting the newly elected Student Council into office.
The ceremony was attended by Amir Subhani, IAS (Retd.), Chairperson, Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission and former Chief Secretary of Bihar, as the Chief Guest. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome song and choral presentation by the school choir.
The newly elected student leaders were conferred with their badges of honour, marking the formal assumption of their responsibilities. Pallavi of Class XII-A and Pratyush Pratap of Class XII-B took charge as Head Girl and Head Boy, while Ankita Kumari and Peeyush Pratyush were inducted as Deputy Head Girl and Deputy Head Boy. Other appointments included the CCA Captain, Academic Captain, Sports Captain and House Captains.

The junior leadership team was also inducted, with Kaushiki Shree of Class V-A and Ojaswi Ranjan of Class V-D assuming charge as Junior Head Girl and Junior Head Boy, respectively.
Administering the oath, Principal Dr Rakesh Alfred called upon the student leaders to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, discipline and commitment. He urged them to lead by example and uphold the values and traditions of the institution.
DHA Md. Ashfaque Iqbal played a key role in coordinating and overseeing the proceedings of the ceremony, ensuring its smooth and orderly conduct.

Addressing the gathering, Amir Subhani congratulated the newly elected council members and urged them to regard leadership as a responsibility and an opportunity to serve. Pro-Vice Chairman Amit Prakash also congratulated the student leaders and encouraged them to lead with confidence, humility and a sense of purpose.
The Head Boy and Head Girl, representing the newly inducted council, pledged to work towards strengthening the school community and upholding its ethos. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
The event underscored the school’s emphasis on developing leadership, accountability and a spirit of service among its students.
