Rajgir, Nalanda, Bihar: Bihar Governor Lt. Gen. Syed Ata Hasnain (retired), visited Nalanda University on Monday, where he was accorded a Guard of Honour upon his arrival. He subsequently undertook a comprehensive tour of the campus and its academic and infrastructural initiatives.
During his interaction with the Nalanda University community, the Governor reflected on the enduring relevance of ancient knowledge systems. He emphasized how their profound philosophical foundations can be meaningfully connected with the contemporary aspirations of students, enriching both intellectual inquiry and holistic education.

Encouraging greater engagement beyond the campus, he extended an invitation to the students of Nalanda University to participate in forthcoming programmes at Bihar Lok Bhavan, promoting deeper intellectual and civic involvement.
Impressed by the University’s pioneering net-zero campus model, the Governor commended its strong commitment to sustainability and innovation. He further suggested that such forward-looking practices and initiatives at Nalanda University could be explored for wider implementation across universities in Bihar.
