Patna: YCC and Shriram Khel Maidan delivered impressive performances on Friday, 13th December, securing wins in the Baidyanath Prasad Memorial Under-13 Cricket Tournament, organised by the Baidyanath Prasad Foundation. YCC dominated VKS Sports Academy with a massive 153-run victory, while Shriram Khel Maidan edged past Narayan Cricket Academy by 3 wickets in a closely contested match.
In the first match at the Cricket Academy of Bihar ground, VKS Sports Academy opted to field after winning the toss. YCC capitalised on their batting opportunity, posting a commanding total of 226 runs for 6 wickets in 24 overs. The innings was anchored by a spectacular century from Tejaswi Chauhan (110 runs) and a solid half-century by Nitin Kumar (61 runs).
In response, VKS Sports Academy struggled against YCC’s bowling attack and were dismissed for just 73 runs in 12.4 overs. Keshav Raghuvanshi led the charge with an exceptional spell, taking 4 wickets for 18 runs. Tejaswi Chauhan was adjudged Player of the Match for his outstanding contribution with the bat.
The second match saw Shriram Khel Maidan opting to field first after winning the toss. Narayan Cricket Academy managed to score 140 runs in 18 overs, thanks to a remarkable 66-run knock by Pratyush Raj. However, Ayush Kumar’s brilliant bowling performance, claiming 5 wickets for 29 runs, restricted the opposition to a manageable total.
