Swift Police Action Foils Kidnapping in Patna, Six Arrested

Patna: Criminal incidents continue to plague Patna, with a recent high-profile case highlighting the brazenness of local offenders. In a dramatic incident near the Belfort Hotel by Gate No. 4 of Medanta Hospital in the Kankarbagh police station area, two boys were kidnapped at knifepoint by a car.

Chaos ensued as local residents promptly informed the police. Responding swiftly, the police formed a team, pursued the kidnappers, and recovered the car from the Agamkuan police station area. Both youths were rescued safely.

The police successfully apprehended six criminals near Chhoti Pahari in the Agamkuan police station area. The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 8 lakh, leading to a formal complaint by the victim. The arrested individuals, identified as Kumar Shubham, Kumar Saurabh, Harsh, Sameer Kumar, Vidya Kumar, and Rohan Kumar, have criminal histories currently under investigation.

Sadar ASP Sweety Sahrawat reported the recovery of eight mobile phones, a car with registration number BR 01 PQ 7920, and two knives from the criminals. The perpetrators are undergoing interrogation, with plans underway to place them in judicial custody.
