Patna: The Bihar Postal Chess Academy, with support from the All Bihar Chess Association and the Department of Posts, Patna, will host a state-level rapid chess tournament from 9 to 10 November. The event is scheduled to take place at the Bharat Ratna Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Postal Cultural Centre in R Block, Patna.
The two-day tournament offers a total prize fund of ₹25,000 for top players. The games will follow a rapid format with a time control of 15 minutes plus a 10-second increment per move. Participation is capped at 100 players, and the deadline for registration is 7 November 2024.
