Patna: St. Karen’s High School hosted a successful two-day “Training of Trainers” programme on 13th and 14th September 2024, organised by CBSE’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) Patna in partnership with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM) under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India.
The event was inaugurated by Ravi Prakash, Head of CBSE CoE Patna, and brought together 65 participants, including resource persons, principals, and teachers from various educational institutions. The primary focus of the workshop was to develop training skills that would enable educators to effectively mentor and train fellow teachers.
Key resource persons included:
- Namita Malik, Joint Director and Faculty Member at ISTM, New Delhi, who presented on advanced training methodologies and educational management.
- Sharad Nautiyal, DoPT Master Trainer, specialising in mentoring and Direct Trainer Skills (DTS) programmes.
- Karamjeet Singh Sodhi, Academic Coordinator at the Government School of Directorate of Education, Delhi, recognised for his global contributions to education and teacher development.
- Tej Krishen Razdan, an experienced trainer for DoPT programmes and former Academic Consultant for the Indian Culinary Institute, Noida.
The workshop featured interactive sessions and practical activities, providing valuable insights into modern training techniques. This initiative, under the Ministry of Education, is part of CBSE’s broader vision to train 15,000 master trainers who will further enhance the professional development of teachers across India and CBSE-affiliated schools globally.
