School Cricket League Under-15 Set to Begin in January 2025 with IPL-Style Format

Patna: The bugle for the fifth edition of the School Cricket League Under-15 has been sounded, with the organising body, Turning Point, announcing its anticipated start date. According to Vijay Sharma, Organising President and Managing Director of Turning Point, the league will commence with grandeur in the second week of January 2025 at the prestigious ground in Patna.

Sharma revealed that 12 teams will participate in the league, with players being selected through open trials scheduled to take place at designated centres in Patna during December. Each team will be acquired by prominent colleges and universities across the country, with franchise owners providing vibrant team kits.

“The league will follow an IPL-style format, with matches being played on a 20-over-a-side basis in a league system,” Sharma stated. He added that daily ‘Man of the Match’ awards will be presented, while the winner and runner-up teams will receive individual prizes alongside a glittering trophy. Special awards for the Best Bowler, Best Batsman, Man of the League, Best Wicketkeeper, Best Fielder, and Emerging Player will also be conferred.

Reflecting on the league’s legacy, Sharma highlighted the successful organisation of four previous editions, each of which culminated in separate prize distribution ceremonies. “These ceremonies also serve as an occasion to honour legendary players, coaches, and other contributors,” he remarked.

With its IPL-style technology and colourful presentation, the School Cricket League Under-15 promises to provide an exciting platform for young cricket talent.
