Patna: Kerala ended the first day of their Ranji Trophy Elite Group match against Bihar at the Sports Hub International Cricket Stadium, Kerala, with a total of 302 for 9 in 84 overs. Salman Nizar played a crucial innings, remaining unbeaten on 111 runs, while Vaishakh Chandran was at the crease with 1 run at stumps.

Bihar Bowlers Keep Kerala in Check

Bihar’s bowling attack was disciplined throughout the innings. Sachin Kumar and Harsh Vikram took two wickets each, while Veer Pratap Singh, Abhishek, Ghulam Rabbani, S Gani, and YP Yadav chipped in with one wicket apiece. Their tight lines and lengths prevented Kerala’s batsmen from playing freely.

Bihar will now look to wrap up Kerala’s innings quickly on the next day to gain an advantage with the bat. With this match being crucial for Bihar, the team will aim to capitalise on their strong bowling performance and take control of the game.
