Patna Gain 3 Points in Draw Against Muzaffarpur in BCA Super League

Patna: The BCA Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament Super League match between Patna and Muzaffarpur at the Moinul Haq Stadium ended in a draw. Patna earned three points based on their first-innings lead, while Muzaffarpur received one point.

In this match, Patna won the toss, chose to bat, and declared their first innings at an impressive 579 runs for three wickets. In response, Muzaffarpur was all out for 250 runs. On the final day, Muzaffarpur, following on, managed to score 88 runs for four wickets before the match was declared a draw by mutual consent due to insufficient time for a result.

Resuming their first innings at 122 for four, Muzaffarpur eventually posted a total of 250 runs. Key contributions came from Ankit Kumar Singh, who scored a brilliant 61 runs despite an earlier injury, along with Atulya Priyankar’s 37, Vishal Raj’s 28, and Abhinav Alok’s 29. For Patna, Abhinav Singh was the standout bowler, taking six wickets, while Suraj Kashyap and Utkarsh Kumar chipped in with two wickets each.

Trailing by 329 runs, Muzaffarpur were forced to follow on. In their second innings, they struggled again, managing 88 runs for the loss of four wickets. Ankit Kumar Singh scored 8 runs, Chandra Prakash 6, Aditya Kumar 15, and Vikas Ranjan 21. For Patna, Suraj Kashyap took two wickets, and Abhinav Singh and Animesh took one wicket each.

The match concluded as a draw due to time constraints and the mutual agreement of both teams.
