Patna: Dozens of paramedical job aspirants, under the banner of the Paramedical Association of Bihar, staged a protest outside the Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) on Friday, demanding the early completion of pending recruitment processes. The protesters warned that they would lay siege to the BTSC office on July 14 if no official notification regarding objections or document verification is issued by the end of this week.
Bharat Bhushan, State President of the Paramedical Association of Bihar, said that although four months have passed since the document verification for the posts of X-ray Technician, Operation Theatre (OT) Assistant and ECG Technician, the final merit list has still not been published.
Candidates Suresh Kumar, Nirala, Sumit Kumar and Ramesh Kumar jointly stated that objections were to be invited before the publication of the final merit list for the posts of Dresser and Staff Nurse, but no notification regarding the objection process has been issued so far. They said the Chief Minister and the Health Minister had aimed to complete the recruitment process within four months, but nearly a year has passed since the recruitment examinations were held.
The candidates said the prolonged delay in recruitment has created uncertainty among aspirants, causing anxiety and mental stress as they remain unsure about when the appointments will be completed.
The protesting candidates said that if no official notification regarding objections or document verification is issued by the end of this week, they will gherao the BTSC office on July 14.
They further said that the appointment of paramedical and nursing staff in government hospitals is crucial, and that expediting the recruitment process would improve healthcare services for the public while providing employment opportunities to qualified candidates who have successfully cleared the examinations. They urged the government to take swift action and complete the recruitment process at the earliest.
Among those present at the protest were candidates Abha Kumari, Madhu Kumari, Mohit Singh, Chandramani Nirala, Raj Tejaswi, Rohan Kumar, Dharmveer Kumar, Rahul Kumar and Ranjit Kumar, along with dozens of other aspirants.
