Major Boost for Bihar Infrastructure: Centre Approves Rs 12,000 Crore Road Projects

Patna: The double engine government in Bihar has now gained full speed. Taking a big step towards enhancing the infrastructural development of the state, the Union Ministry of Road Construction and Highways has approved road projects in Bihar worth approximately Rs 12,000 crore.

According to information, four major road projects are set to begin in the state after the monsoon season. This decision by the central government is expected to accelerate Bihar’s development. Bihar BJP leaders expressed gratitude to the Centre, stating that the Modi government has always been committed to the state’s progress.

Sanjay Mayukh, National Spokesperson for BJP, stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes the country’s development is intertwined with the development of the North-East. Consequently, Bihar’s development remains a priority for the Centre. The central government has already sanctioned several major projects for Bihar, with more to come.

Among the significant projects approved is the 120 km long four-lane road from Patna to Sasaram via Ara, costing around Rs 3,600 crore.

Additionally, Begusarai district has received approval for a substantial project. This 36 km long road-cum-bridge project, including a bridge over the Ganga River, will cost Rs 3,550 crore. The bridge will connect NH-31 and NH-80, providing a new route from Bihar to Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha.

The Centre has also sanctioned a four-lane road from Bakhtiyarpur in Patna district to Rajauli in Nawada district. This 50.89 km long project will cost a total of Rs 2,156 crore and will reduce the distance between Patna and Nawada.

Furthermore, a 60.8 km long road from Ara to Mohania will be constructed at a cost of Rs 984.63 crore. In Araria district, a road from Araria to Bahadurganj will be built, costing Rs 1,143.46 crore for the 49.5 km long four-lane project.

BJP leader Prem Ranjan Patel emphasized that the central government is particularly focused on Bihar. The Prime Minister has assured close attention to Bihar’s development, especially in road and bridge construction. The ongoing road projects indicate that Bihar’s development will gain new momentum in the coming days.
