Kilkari Patna Dominate 15th Dhyanchand Memorial Ball Badminton Tournament

Patna: Kilkari Bihar Bal Bhavan, Patna, achieved a remarkable double victory by winning both the boys’ and girls’ titles in the 15th Dhyanchand Memorial Ball Badminton Tournament. The event was held as part of the Sports Day programme at the Kilkari Bihar Bal Bhavan’s ball badminton court.

In the boys’ final, Kilkari Patna defeated Kilkari Gaya with scores of 35-26 and 35-22 to claim the championship. The girls’ final saw Kilkari Patna overpower PN Anglo School with a dominant performance, winning 35-17 and 35-22 to secure the title.

Mahant Hanuman Sharan School and Miller School shared third place in the boys’ category, while Gardanibagh Girls School and Ravindra Girls School jointly took third place in the girls’ category. The final matches featured standout performances from Gaurav, Suraj, and Aditya of Kilkari Patna, as well as Raunak, Aniket, and Mukesh from Kilkari Gaya in the boys’ competition. In the girls’ category, Muskan, Khushi, Divya, and Harshita from Kilkari Patna, alongside Roshni, Swati, and Kanchan from PN Anglo School, excelled on the court.

The referees for the competition were Shubham Kumar, Raviranjan, and Shashokant Kumar.

The prize distribution ceremony followed the finals, with Mithilesh Kumar Mandal, senior advocate (GST) and Vice President of the Bihar Ball Badminton Association, serving as the chief guest. Anamika Paswan, Secretary of the Bhavya Institute of Nursing, was the special guest. Gouri Shankar, Secretary of the Bihar Ball Badminton Association, welcomed the guests, and the vote of thanks was given by District Secretary Dr Arun Dayal.
