Patna: Bihar endured a heavy defeat in their opening match of the Ranji Trophy, as Haryana clinched victory by an innings and 43 runs on the second day of play.
In their first innings, Bihar was bowled out for a modest total of 78 runs. Haryana responded with a strong showing, amassing 254 runs before being dismissed. Bihar struggled again in their second innings, managing only 133 runs.
On the second day, Saturday (12 October 2024), Haryana resumed from their overnight score of 184 for 7. JJ Yadav’s crucial knock of 55 guided them to a total of 254 in 74.2 overs.
