Patna: The Bihar State Religious Trust Board has appointed Sanjeev Kumar Mishra, a Patna High Court advocate, founder of the ‘Shrimad Bhagavad Gita Aapke Dwar’ campaign and state spokesperson of the BJP in Bihar, as the State Coordinator for the free dissemination of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.
The appointment has been made by the Board’s Chairman, Prof Ranbir Nandan, under letter No. 2284 dated December 22, 2025. Mishra, popularly known as ‘Geeta Wale Baba’, has been entrusted with the responsibility in recognition of his remarkable contribution over the past six years, during which he has distributed more than six lakh copies of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita free of cost to people across Bihar, other parts of India and even abroad.
Prof Nandan described Mishra’s campaign, carried out under the resolve of ‘Ghar-Ghar Gita, Jan-Jan Gita’ (Gita in every home, Gita for every individual), as unique, extraordinary and divine. Impressed by his selfless service in spreading the message of the Gita, the Chairman assigned him the role of State Coordinator.
Prof Nandan also urged Mishra to extend full cooperation to the Religious Trust Board by continuing the free propagation of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and supporting the Board’s initiatives.
