Patna: Patna residents will soon enjoy a faster commute as the elevated road from Sipara to Mahuli nears completion. Once operational, the journey from Sipara to Punpun will take just 10 minutes, covering the 8-kilometre distance with ease.
Enhanced Connectivity for South Patna
The elevated road, fully completed, is set to benefit lakhs of residents in South Patna. Additionally, the construction of the four-lane road from Mahuli to Punpun is progressing rapidly. Work on one lane of this 2.2-kilometre stretch is expected to finish by the end of January, with the second lane scheduled for completion by March.
Ramp and Approach Road Updates
Near Bhupatipur in Sipara, a 600-metre approach road and a ramp to access the elevated road are under construction. Six girders have been installed in 16 spans, with slab casting and finishing work slated for completion by March.
Lighting and Traffic Readiness
The installation of streetlights on the Sipara-Mahuli elevated road is already complete. Once the ramp construction is finalised, traffic will be allowed on the elevated road, drastically reducing travel time and improving connectivity for commuters.
This development promises to enhance infrastructure and mobility in Patna, offering significant relief to daily travellers and boosting the region’s accessibility.
