Patna: Cricket legends including Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Rahul Dravid, Ravi Shastri, Mohammad Azharuddin, Anil Kumble, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Virender Sehwag, Mohinder Amarnath, Ajay Jadeja, and Vinod Kambli graced the prize distribution ceremony of Sukhdeo Cricket, inspiring and encouraging the players. Today, the players from Sukhdeo Cricket have gone on to represent their district, state, and country, enhancing national pride.
In preparation for the 38th Sukhdeo Narain Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament, the tournament committee held a review meeting. This prestigious competition has, for 37 years, identified talent and helped take it to the international stage. It was decided that the final match would take place on the turf wicket of Urja Stadium, with an IPL-style format. The players will receive colourful kits, provided free of charge by the tournament committee.
The matches will be played on the turf wicket of Jagjivan Stadium under a league-cum-knockout system. The tournament committee will also provide balls for all matches at no cost. A three-member panel has been established to grant final approval for teams after reviewing their applications, with the committee’s decisions being final.
