Patna: On the third day of the Cooch Behar Trophy match, Bihar reached 102 for two in their second innings after Kerala gained a 92-run lead in the first innings. Bihar had earlier posted 329 runs in their first innings, while Kerala replied with an impressive 421.
In Bihar’s second innings, Taufiq stood out with a half-century. Shashwat Giri was dismissed for a duck, and Aditya Sinha contributed 30 runs before falling. Kerala’s Abhiram and Ahmed Imran claimed one wicket each.
Kerala, resuming their innings at 355 for five, added 66 runs on the third day to finish at 421. Ahmed Imran’s 178 and Advait Prince’s 84 were the highlights of their innings. Other contributions came from Akshay (39), Altaf (43), and Ahmed Khan (21).
For Bihar, Suman Kumar shone with a remarkable six-wicket haul, while Vasudev picked up three wickets and Abhishek secured one. Despite Kumar’s efforts, Bihar now faces a challenging task to overturn Kerala’s lead.
