Patna: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has clarified that a letter circulating on social media regarding the validity of admit cards for the 70th Civil Services Preliminary Examination is entirely fake. The preliminary examination is scheduled for 13 December, and admit cards were issued on 6 December.

The viral letter falsely claims that the issued admit cards have been declared invalid and that new ones will be reissued. It also alleges that certain candidate demands have been accepted by the Commission.

On Monday, BPSC released an official press note categorically denying the authenticity of this information. The Controller of Examinations stated that the letter was not issued by the Commission, labelling its content as completely baseless. Furthermore, BPSC has announced that an FIR is being registered against those responsible for circulating this misinformation. Steps are also being taken to identify these individuals and impose a lifetime ban on their participation in any exams conducted by the Commission.

BPSC Secretary Satya Prakash Sharma reiterated that all official notifications are published exclusively on the Commission’s official website. He urged candidates to refrain from believing or acting upon any information not verified on the official platform. He emphasised the importance of checking the Commission’s website to avoid confusion caused by false claims.

The Commission has assured candidates that necessary action will be taken against those spreading fake information and disrupting the examination process.
