Patna: Bihar defeated Mizoram by 41 runs in the Women’s U-19 T20 Tournament held at Chennai’s SSN Ground. After winning the toss and opting to bat, Bihar posted 94 for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Mizoram were bowled out for 53 runs in 15.5 overs.
For Bihar, Akshara Gupta top-scored with 23 runs, while Ananya Tiwari contributed 15 and Khushboo Kumari added 12 runs. For Mizoram, Jothan Sangi and Margaret claimed two wickets each, with Marthy and Sandia taking one wicket apiece.
In Mizoram’s reply, Sandia scored 11 runs, Jakita made 6, Swamtluyangi contributed 9, and Karia added 5 runs. For Bihar, Julie starred with the ball, taking 4 wickets, while Baby Rosie picked up 2. Khushi and Ananya also took one wicket each. Bihar’s next match will be against Baroda on 6th October.
