Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal Denounces Land Mafia’s Efforts to Halt Land Survey

Patna: Bihar Revenue and Land Reforms Minister, Dilip Jaiswal, has addressed the ongoing land survey in the state, asserting that attempts by the land mafia to disrupt the process will not succeed. He stated that certain groups are attempting to create an environment of obstruction, but no one in the villages is voicing concerns about disputes.

Minister Jaiswal emphasised that the land mafia, who have illegally occupied government land, are fearful of losing control over these properties following the survey. According to him, these mafias, particularly those based in Patna, are spreading rumours as part of a conspiracy. However, he assured that such efforts would be in vain, and the land survey will continue unabated.

He highlighted the significance of the survey for the common people, explaining that it would resolve land disputes and ensure rightful ownership. “The government’s work is beneficial for the public, and this initiative will prevent disputes over land ownership. We will continue with the land survey,” he stated.

Jaiswal further alleged that a lobby of land mafias in Patna is making misleading statements about the survey in an effort to protect their encroachments. Despite their actions, he reaffirmed that the survey is progressing smoothly across Bihar and will continue until every plot of land in the state is surveyed properly.

When questioned about RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s recent tour of the state, Jaiswal commented sarcastically, saying, “Tejashwi ji must have grown bored sitting at home. With no work to do, he has embarked on a tour of Bihar.”
