Bihar Hosts Travel and Tourism Fair 2024 to Boost State’s Tourism Sector

Patna: The Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) has been organised to advance the tourism sector of Bihar. Representatives from 12 Indian states, along with two foreign delegates, are participating in the event. The Bihar government is engaging with national and international representatives to showcase the state’s tourism potential. Efforts are underway to elevate Bihar’s tourism to new heights in the coming days.

The fair was inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, with the participation of tourism representatives from Bihar, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and the states of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi, Telangana, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, and Kerala.

This two-day Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) 2024 is taking place in Patna at Gyan Bhawan, Samrat Ashok Convention Centre, Gandhi Maidan, on 22nd and 23rd October. Numerous representatives from the tourism industry, both domestic and international, are attending the event. The fair will promote Bihar’s tourist attractions afresh, while also exploring the possibilities for expanding the state’s tourism industry.

Tourism Minister Nitish Mishra stated that the TTF was inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the Honourable Union Minister of Tourism and Culture, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Honourable Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, and Uttarakhand’s Tourism Minister, Satpal Maharaj.

Over 100 representatives from 15 Indian states are participating in the event, including representatives from the North-East. The stalls set up by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and the states of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi, Telangana, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, and Kerala, aim to attract business interests through a diverse range of tourism-related products.

Delegates from neighbouring countries Nepal and Bhutan are also in attendance. Additionally, a significant number of tour operators and travel agents have been present. The participants are gathering in Patna to learn about Bihar’s various tourist destinations. During the fair, detailed information will be provided on both the traditional-religious sites and the emerging eco-tourism centres in Bihar.
