Munger: The Bihar government is all set to act tough on illegal encroachment of government land. It is likely for clearing encroachments on government land action for demolition of illegal structures would be initiated soon.
Bihar Chief Minister (CM) Samrat Choudhary hinted at big action against illegal encroachment while interacting with people today at Samvad programme organized at Kali Mandir premises in Baijalpur village of Asarganj block under Tarapur subdivision of district.
CM who was in Baijalpur village to witness live telecast of “Mann Ki Baat” a popular programme of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi participated in Samvad Programme subsequently.
CM who represents Tarapur assembly seat indicated about zero tolerance policy of government on illegal encroachment stating he has come to know that stairs of his house located in Tarapur is being demolished by administration which is a clear message for all concerned that anything constructed illegally encroaching government land would be demolished.
Samrat Choudhary who was in his assembly constituency for the first time after taking over reigns of the state informed people that his government is committed for reducing inconveniences of people in getting their problems solved.
He said a system for regular monitoring of block and circle offices besides police stations would be in place soon at his office. In this context he said for easy solution of problems of people camps would be organized twice in a month at panchayat level.

Delay in clearing files for more than a month would invite stern action in future against concerned officials, CM said. Interacting with people he informed industrialization of state was high on agenda of his government.
The state looks forward to inviting investment of Rs five lakh crore by end of November this year, Choudhary added. He further informed work is underway for construction of proposed marine drive alongside Ganga in between Bhagalpur and this district.
To restrict flooding of the area when river is in spate measures that would help stop overtopping of banks by the river have been also planned, CM added. He informed his government has decided to increase irrigational facilities in state.
In this context Choudhary said in some reservoirs and dams located in this particular area, the water of river Ganga is being stored so that water availability for irrigation purposes could be increased.
CM said he was of the opinion that prosperity of farmers was essential for development of state. Informing his government has planned beautification of hills in state for promotion of ecotourism Choudhary said foundation of ecotourism works planned at Dhol Phadi in Asarganj block was laid today.
In course of interaction the CM spoke about several development and welfare projects implementation of which are already underway beside planned future projects. Earlier on arrival he was provided warm welcome by people of his constituency. Political leaders of the area beside senior officials were present on the occasion.
