Begusarai and Siwan Clinch Titles at 30th Bihar State Sub Junior Ball Badminton Championship

Patna: In the final match of the boys’ category of the 30th Bihar State Sub Junior Ball Badminton Championship, held at Radhakrishna Mandir Gulaab Bagh, Barh (Patna), Begusarai emerged victorious against Kilkari with a score of 35-27, 35-25. In the girls’ category final, Siwan defeated Kilkari 35-33, 35-26 to claim the title. The event was organised by the Bihar Ball Badminton Association and the Barh Ball Badminton Association.

Kilkari had to settle for the runner-up position in both the boys’ and girls’ categories. In the boys’ final, Begusarai’s Naitik, Ankit, Anshu, and Lalan, along with Kilkari’s Saurav, Gaurav, and Anokha Lal, delivered commendable performances. In the girls’ final, standout performances came from Kajal, Anju, Shibu, and Shivani from Siwan, as well as Harshita, Khushi, and Muskan from Kilkari.

Anshu Kumar of Begusarai was named the best player in the boys’ category, while Kajal Kumari of Siwan received the honour in the girls’ category. Patna and Siwan jointly secured third place in the boys’ category, while Barh and East Champaran shared third place in the girls’ category.

Earlier, in the boys’ semi-finals, Begusarai defeated Patna 35-26, 35-22, and Kilkari edged past Siwan 35-33, 35-27. In the girls’ semi-finals, Kilkari beat Barh 35-27, 35-29, and Siwan triumphed over East Champaran 35-20, 35-19.

The prize distribution ceremony took place after the final matches, with the awards presented by organising committee chairman Karnaveer Singh Yadav, alias Lallu Mukhiya, Bihar Ball Badminton Association secretary Gouri Shankar, and Prof. Devendra Prasad. The event also saw the presence of special guests, including social worker Ranveer Kumar Yadav, National General Secretary of Lohia Janata Dal Raju Prasad Chandravanshi, Advocate Nawal Kishore, and Barh Pramukh Upendra Paswan.
