Patna: In the U-23 Men’s CK Nayudu Trophy match at GSFC Ground, Baroda defeated Bihar by an innings and 103 runs. Bihar, who could only muster scores of 91 and 97 in their two innings, will play their next match against Haryana starting on 15 November.
Baroda began the second day’s play at 149 for 4 and reached a total of 291 all out in 98.1 overs. Key contributions included Jadhav Rajveer Singh’s solid 81, Nitya J Pandya’s 48, and Harsh Desai’s 34. Other players, including Priyanshu Mouliya (21), P Patidar (30), and Keyur Kale (23), also added valuable runs to establish a commanding lead.
For Bihar, Suraj Kashyap delivered a notable bowling performance, taking 4 wickets for 75 runs, while Manish Kumar picked up 3 wickets for 97. Mohammad Izhar, Himanshu Tiwari, and Animesh Kumar each contributed with a wicket.
In their second innings, Bihar could only manage 97 runs in 28 overs. Top scorers were Shashank Upadhyay with 24, Pawan Rai with 19, and Suraj Kashyap with 18. Most other batsmen struggled, with only single-digit scores.
Baroda’s bowling was spearheaded by Priyanshu Mouliya, who claimed 5 wickets for just 14 runs. Vaibhav HB took 3 wickets for 22, and Aryan Chavda picked up 2 for 41, securing a comprehensive innings win for Baroda over Bihar.
