Baroda Establish First Innings Lead Over Bihar on Day One of CK Nayudu Trophy

Patna: Baroda secured a first-innings lead against Bihar on the opening day of the CK Nayudu Trophy match at GSFC Cricket Ground, Vadodara. After winning the toss and opting to bat, Bihar was bowled out for a modest total of 91. In reply, Baroda ended the day at 149 for 4, taking the upper hand in the contest.

For Bihar, Animesh Kumar contributed 32 runs, Shivam Kumar added 22, and Himanshu Tiwari scored 24, but no other batsman reached double figures, with five players dismissed without scoring. Baroda’s bowling attack, led by Aryan and Vaibhav, who each claimed four wickets, kept Bihar’s total in check, while Karan and Priyanshu took one wicket apiece.

Baroda’s response was steady, with Nitya scoring 48 runs and Harsh adding 34, supported by Priyanshu (21) and Bhavishya (11). At stumps, Jadav Rajveer Singh was unbeaten on 2, while Patidar held firm with 26 not out. For Bihar, Manish Kumar picked up two wickets, with Suraj Kashyap and Animesh each taking one.
