Patna: Bihar is set to receive a significant economic boost after industrialist Gautam Adani announced that the Adani Group will invest between ₹50,000 crore and ₹60,000 crore in the state over the next two to three years.
The proposed investment will focus on key sectors including power generation, road development, logistics, and social infrastructure. The move is expected to strengthen Bihar’s industrial base and create new employment opportunities.

During a visit to Saran district, Gatam Adani, accompanied by his wife Dr Priti Adani, inaugurated several development initiatives in Mastichak. Among them was the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital, a major eye training centre to be built at a cost of ₹150 crore.
The project is being described as one of the largest rural eye healthcare programmes in the world. In addition, the Adani Foundation has launched a service campaign aimed at improving access to eye care services in villages.

In another major development, the group is setting up a 2,400 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant in Pirpainti, Bhagalpur, with an estimated investment of around $3 billion. Adani also indicated that the group is keen to expand into the education sector in Bihar, with plans to support schools and colleges in the future.
During his visit, Gautam Adani met Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary at Lok Sevak Awas, 1 Anne Marg. The meeting focused on investment opportunities and large-scale projects in the state. Adani assured the government of his group’s full support in Bihar’s development and industrialisation efforts.
