Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) a.k.a Bihar Board has, in recent years, introduced several innovative measures by leveraging technology. Continuing this push, the Board has now made the document verification process completely online, keeping students’ convenience at the forefront.
The Board has launched a dedicated Document Verification System (DVS) software, enabling Intermediate and Matriculation pass-outs to get their academic certificates verified with a single click from home. With this initiative, students, private companies and government institutions will no longer need to visit the Bihar Board office for document verification.
Formally inaugurating the software, BSEB Chairman Anand Kishor said that under the new system, certificates related to Intermediate, Matric, Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), D.El.Ed and other examinations will be verified entirely through digital means. The verification fee will also be paid online.
He said the online verification process will be carried out through the portal biharboardonline.com. Concerned institutions will be required to register on the DVS portal, a process that needs to be completed only once. During registration, institutions must provide complete details, based on which the software will automatically route verification requests to the appropriate officer or department.
According to the Chairman, the verification fee will be automatically determined as per the category of the institution. Once the fee is paid, the online application will be accepted and documents will be verified through the digital system, ensuring greater transparency and significant time savings. The new arrangement will eliminate the need for applications to be sent by post or in person.
Anand Kishor said the Bihar Board has become the first state examination board in the country to introduce a fully online document verification system. He added that the Board has already been a national leader in timely declaration of Intermediate and Matric results, and this move is another major step towards a paperless system.
He further announced that from 1 January 2026, the entire process will be fully digital and manual document verification will be completely discontinued.
