Patna: The Bihar government is taking proactive measures to promote tourism across the state, with tourism spots being developed in every block. The Tourism Department will organise a Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) on 22nd and 23rd October at Gyan Bhawan in Patna. In the weekly review meeting held on Monday, Tourism Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh instructed departmental officials to ensure the fair’s success through active participation and timely completion of necessary preparations.

Last year, Patna hosted its first TTF on 7th and 8th October at Gyan Bhawan, Samrat Ashok Convention Centre, Gandhi Maidan. The two-day event attracted representatives from India and abroad, focusing on the promotion of Bihar’s tourist destinations and discussions on enhancing the state’s tourism industry.

During the review meeting, officials were assigned a target to utilise 45 percent of the annual budget expenditure by November. The Tourism Secretary also emphasised the need for continuous promotion on social media to encourage maximum participation in two ongoing departmental competitions: ‘Mera Block-Mera Gaurav’ and ‘Bihar Tourism: From the Eyes of an Influencer’.
