Patna: Marking the completion of 12 years of governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a special religious programme was organised at the Patna residence of Jale MLA and former Bihar minister Jivesh Kumar. The event, attended by party workers and supporters, featured a havan, recitation of the Sunderkand, and a maha aarti, conducted amidst Vedic chants.
On the occasion, prayers were offered for the Prime Minister’s long life, good health, and continued leadership. Attendees also prayed for the success of the vision of a developed India, along with national prosperity, good governance, and India’s emergence as a global leader.
Addressing the gathering, Jivesh Kumar said that India had witnessed unprecedented achievements in service, governance, and development over the past 12 years. He said that the government’s focus had remained on reaching the last person in society, strengthening the principle of Antyodaya. According to him, this approach had brought visible improvements in the lives of the poor, farmers, women, youth, the middle class, and marginalised communities.
Highlighting welfare initiatives, he said that millions of homes had been built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, while sanitation had improved significantly through the Swachh Bharat Mission. Schemes such as Har Ghar Jal expanded basic facilities in rural areas, and free ration under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana provided economic relief to millions.

Kumar also spoke about support for farmers through direct financial assistance under the PM-Kisan scheme, increased minimum support prices, crop insurance, and wider access to agricultural technology. He said India was setting new records in foodgrain production and agricultural exports.
He emphasised women’s empowerment through schemes such as Ujjwala, Jan Dhan accounts, self-help groups, and the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ initiative. For youth, programmes like Startup India, Skill India, and Digital India had opened new employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
In the health sector, he cited Ayushman Bharat and the expansion of affordable medicines and medical infrastructure. He also pointed to major progress in infrastructure, including highways, expressways, modern trains, metro networks, and airports.
Kumar added that India had emerged as a global leader in digital payments and innovation, while also strengthening national security and economic growth.
The programme concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to contribute towards the nation’s progress and the vision of a developed India by 2047.
