Patna: Bihar Chief Minister (CM) Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday inaugurated a ‘Sahyog Shivir’ (Sahyog Camp) in Dumri Buzurg panchayat of Sonepur block in Saran district, aiming to ensure swift and effective resolution of public grievances.
The initiative, part of the ‘Sabka Samman, Jeevan Aasaan’ programme under the Saat Nischay-3 scheme, will be held across all districts on the first and third Tuesday of every month at the panchayat level. A dedicated portal and helpline (1100), launched earlier, allow citizens to register complaints directly.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said all applications received at these camps must be resolved within 30 days. Officials will face strict action for delays, with a system of notices issued on the 10th, 20th and 25th days. Failure to act within the deadline could lead to automatic suspension.

He said the programme aims to ensure timely solutions for both rural and urban residents. “The government is committed to addressing people’s problems efficiently,” he added, linking the initiative to the broader vision of development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Samrat Choudhary also announced infrastructure and development plans for the Sonepur region, including a new airport, township near Baba Hariharnath temple, bridges parallel to the Mahatma Gandhi Setu, and a Ganga-Ambika riverfront road on the lines of Patna’s JP Ganga Path. Land acquisition for the township will offer four times compensation in special cases.

Highlighting welfare efforts, he said women linked to self-help groups are now contributing significantly to the economy, while steps are being taken to expand industries and employment. Plans are also underway to open degree colleges in all blocks and improve healthcare, with action promised against unnecessary patient referrals.
At the event, beneficiaries received documents such as land ownership papers, ration cards, birth certificates and pension benefits. The Chief Minister praised officials for achieving full disposal of earlier applications and urged continued accountability to ensure justice and relief for citizens.

Several dignitaries attended the programme, including MP Janardan Singh Sigriwal; MLAs Vinay Kumar Singh, Krishna Kumar Mantu, Janak Singh, Manoranjan Singh, Chhoti Kumari and Randhir Kumar Singh; MLC Sachchidanand Rai; the Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar; Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit; Principal Secretary of the Rural Development Department and in-charge Secretary of Saran district Pankaj Kumar; the Chief Minister’s Special Duty Officer Dr Gopal Singh; Saran Divisional Commissioner Manish Kumar; Deputy Inspector General of Police (Saran range) Nilesh Kumar; District Magistrate Vaibhav Srivastava; and Senior Superintendent of Police Vineet Kumar, along with other public representatives, senior officials and a large number of local residents.
