Patna: In the Adhikari Madan Mohan Prasad Memorial Patna District Senior Division Cricket League (Super Six), organised by the Patna District Cricket Association, YMCC secured a convincing five-wicket victory over Adhikari XI to book their place in the semi-finals. Suraj Kashyap of YMCC was named Player of the Match for his match-winning performance.
At the local Gen Nex Cricket Academy ground, Adhikari XI, having lost the toss, batted first and were bowled out for 194 in 36.2 overs. Kumar Rajneesh led the scoring with a fine 76 off 73 balls, striking 12 fours and a six. Santosh Keshari contributed 40 runs, while Aman Avinash added 23, but the rest of the batting line-up failed to build substantial innings.
For YMCC, Divyansh and Gaurav Raj claimed three wickets each, while Satyam Kumar picked up two wickets.
Chasing a target of 195, YMCC reached 196 for five in 32.3 overs. Suraj Kashyap anchored the chase with an unbeaten 63, while Shyamal Pandey (46) and captain Virat Pandey (43) made crucial contributions.
For Adhikari XI, Akash Raj took two wickets, but the remaining bowlers were unable to apply sustained pressure.
