Patna, June 23, 2024 – On the auspicious occasion of Olympic Day, a sub-junior 5-a-side women’s and men’s hockey match was organized at Dung-Dung Stadium, BRC Danapur, Patna under the aegis of Hockey Bihar. The matches featured teams from Eklavya Center Patna and Hockey Patna.
In the women’s category, Eklavya Center Patna defeated Hockey Patna 2-0, with Siddhi Kumari and Khushi Kumari each scoring one goal.
In the men’s category, Hockey Patna triumphed over Patel Academy with a score of 4-2. For Hockey Patna, Ashish Ranjan scored two goals, while Navin Kumar and Rajiv Kumar each contributed one goal. For Patel Academy, Nikhil Navin and Suman Kumar each scored one goal.
All the players extended their prayers and best wishes to the Indian men’s hockey team, which is set to compete in the Paris Olympics, hoping they will bring home the gold medal.
Present at the event were Manoj Kumar, Munindra, Achal Kumar, Vikash Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Mini Kumari, Aparajita Kumari, Shreya Kumari, Tulsi Kumari, Tamanna Raj, and many former and current national players.
