Strong Investment Interest in Bihar at World Food India 2024, Focus on Food Processing and Startups

New Delhi: Representatives from leading companies attending the Bihar Pavilion at World Food India 2024 expressed significant interest in investing in the state. The pavilion, organised by the Industries Department of the Bihar Government, provided visiting investors with detailed information on investment opportunities, government schemes, infrastructure, and the supply chain. Key companies showing interest included MTR, Mars, Nova Milk Products, Danone, Arvind Dairy, Marut Drones, Hindustan Unilever Limited, and Tops. Many of these companies also showed interest in producing ethanol under the biofuel policy. Additionally, officials from the Industries Department shared their policies with other institutions present at the event.

This year, the Bihar Pavilion focused on promoting investment in the food processing industry and other sectors in the state. The pavilion featured five stalls selling food products made in Bihar, attracting a large crowd of visitors. Several startups also participated in World Food India, engaging in an open group discussion with pavilion participants.

The discussion highlighted the journey of startups in Bihar, including their initial experiences, financial challenges, and strategies for marketing and distributing products. Notable participants in the discussion included Vikas Jha from Satuj, Lily Jha from Organic Sattav, Shyama Jha from Wow Moms Food, Manish Anand from Mithila Natural, Abhishek Singh from She Makhana, and Arvind Jha, founder of Mithila Angel Network.
